We run the shop out of G' House over here in Tidke Colony. It’s a pretty decent spot in Nashik. We’ve got shelves filled with all sorts of things that people in the neighborhood might need. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit a lot of stock in. People from around the colony come in every day, usually for small stuff like snacks or household bits. We know most of the regulars by name. It’s not a big supermarket or anything like that. Just a local shop where we keep things simple. The floor is concrete and we have some old fans that keep the air moving during the hot Nashik summers. We spend a lot of time unpacking boxes and making sure everything is priced right. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with the door open all day. There’s a small counter near the entrance where we sit. We don't have a computer system that does everything; it's mostly manual work and checking the notebooks. Tidke Colony is a nice place to work because it’s mostly families living nearby. You hear the kids playing outside in the evenings. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down. It’s a long day but it feels good to be part of the community here. The sign outside G' House is a bit faded but people know where we are. It’s just a practical business for practical people who live nearby.
