Swaraj Motors

Swaraj Motors is right at Shop No.2 in Dutta Colony. We are very close to the Pimprala railway gate, so we hear the trains passing by all day long. It’s a noisy spot, but it’s good for business because everyone has to slow down when the gate is closed. Our shop is mostly filled with parts, tools, and whatever vehicle we are working on at the moment. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful not to trip over things. The floor usually has some oil spots on it, no matter how much we scrub. We deal with motors and mechanical repairs for the local folks in the colony and people passing through. It’s hands-on work, and our shirts usually have some grease on them by lunchtime. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a couple of plastic chairs tucked in a corner. Sometimes we sit outside on the pavement when the weather is nice and the shop gets too stuffy. We’ve been at this location for years, and we know most of the people who live around Dutta Colony. It’s not a polished business, but we know our way around an engine. If you're looking for us, just look for the shop with the tires stacked out front.
