Surana Hospital

Surana Hospital in Deola is a straightforward place for medical care. Deola isn’t a huge city, so the hospital serves as a central point for people in the town and the surrounding countryside. We don't have the massive scale of a city hospital, but we have enough space to take care of the folks who live here. The building is simple, and we don't spend money on things like fancy waiting room furniture or expensive art. Instead, we focus on having the right medicines and keeping the beds ready for anyone who needs them. A typical day involves people coming in with various aches and pains, or sometimes more serious injuries from work in the fields. We know many of the families who come through our doors, which is the nice thing about being in a place like Deola. The pace can be slow one minute and then very fast the next if an emergency comes in. Our staff members are local people who understand the needs of the community. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall; we just show up, do the work, and help people get better so they can go home. It’s a lot of routine tasks, like checking temperatures and filling out charts, but it’s important work for our town. We’re just a regular hospital doing our part in a small corner of the world.
