Shreenam Foundation

We started Shreenam Foundation right here in Dhondvir. It is a small place in Sinnar, out in the Nashik district. Most of us grew up around here so we know the families and the local issues pretty well. Our setup is at house number 302. It is not a fancy office or anything like that, just a regular place where we can sit down and figure out how to help out. Sometimes people just walk in to talk about what is happening in the neighborhood. We try to be useful where we can. Sinnar is a good place but things can be tough for some folks. We spend our days looking at what needs doing, whether it is small things for the elders or helping out with stuff around the village. It is mostly just a few of us trying to make things a little bit easier for everyone else. We don't have a big team or huge funding. It is more about being there when someone needs a hand. We've been here for a while now and most people know where to find us. If you are ever around Dhondvir, you’ll see us working. We don't do things for the show of it. It’s just how we were raised. Life here moves at its own pace and we try to keep up with it while doing our bit. It feels right to give back to the place that made us who we are today.
