It’s a place many people pass through on their way elsewhere, but for us, it is home. Shree Ashtavinayak Saraf Private Limited has been around for some time. We are sarrafs, so we deal with what you’d expect in a jewelry business. The shop is right there in the heart of the local area. It gets quite busy during the wedding seasons or when there’s a festival in town. We see a lot of familiar faces coming in. Ghoti is a smaller place compared to Nashik city, so everyone kind of knows everyone. We open up the shutters every morning and just start the day. Sometimes the power goes out, or the rain gets really heavy during the monsoon, but we stay open. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, even if the name sounds formal on paper. We don’t have any big marketing team or anything like that. Just some local staff who have been with us for years. We handle the ornaments and the gold, making sure everything is counted right. It’s honest work. We don't really do big advertisements. Most of the people who come here have been coming for generations. We like it that way. It’s just how things work in this part of Maharashtra. We are just a local business.
