Shivdham Plasticizer & Chemicals Ltd.

Our setup is based at W-345 in the M.I.D.C. area, right near H-Block. It’s a big industrial zone, and there is always something happening around us. We deal with plasticizers and chemicals, which means there’s a lot of focus on safety and making sure everything is stored correctly. The building is old but sturdy, and it’s seen a lot of work over the years. We have a small team here at Shivdham. Most of us arrive early to beat the traffic that clogs up the main roads around the industrial estate. Inside, there is the smell of production, which you get used to after a day or two. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is important work. We spend a lot of time checking containers and making sure the mixtures are right. There’s a lot of metal and concrete around, not many trees, but that’s the reality of working in an M.I.D.C. unit. We have a small area where we take our breaks and have some tea together. Conversations usually revolve around the work or what’s happening in the local news. We don't really do the whole corporate culture thing; it’s more like a group of people trying to do a good job so they can go home to their families. The trucks pull up to the loading dock throughout the afternoon, and we keep things moving as best as we can until it’s time to lock up for the night.
