Shatabadi Hospital

Shatabadi Hospital is right there at Mumbai Naka, tucked into the Suyojit City Center. It’s a hectic spot because we are directly opposite the Mahamarg Bus Stand. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. It makes for a lot of noise, but it means people can find us easily if they’re coming from out of town. The building itself is part of the center, so there are shops and offices around us too. It isn’t like those quiet hospitals you see on TV. We’re right in the middle of everything. The lobby gets crowded when a bus arrives, and sometimes people just wander in looking for directions because of where we are. We keep things running as best as we can. The halls are a bit narrow in some places and the lighting is that typical office glow. It’s a practical setup. Most of the folks working here have been through the Mumbai Naka traffic enough times to know not to be late. We don't spend much time on decorations or anything like that. We just have the rooms set up and the files organized. It’s a busy life here in this part of Mumbai. We see a lot of different people every day, mostly because the bus stand is right there. It’s just how it goes in this part of the city. We open early and stay late because that’s when the buses are moving.
