Rahmah Women Walfare Foundation

Rahmah Women Walfare Foundation is located out in Malegaon, which is part of the Nashik district. Our address is Sr. No. 121/1, specifically at Plot No 73. It is a bit different from being in a big city like Mumbai. Here, things move at a slightly slower pace, which is mostly a good thing. The office is a simple structure on the plot, and we have a bit of open space around us. It can get quite dusty when the wind picks up, so we spend a lot of time sweeping the floors. Inside, we have some long tables where we lay out our work and a few cupboards for keeping our supplies safe. There aren't many shops right next door, so we have to make sure we bring everything we need for the day with us. Sometimes the local birds get a bit noisy on the roof, but it is better than traffic noise. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that do their best when it gets hot in the afternoons. It is a very hands-on environment here. We sit together, share our lunch, and work through whatever needs to be finished. It feels more like a community center than a formal office. People from the nearby plots often drop by just to say hello or ask a question. We stay busy with the local needs and keep the place running.
