Our place, Prompt Sales And Services, is situated at N-3, J-45 in the Old Cidco area. We are located quite close to the Ram Mandir and the busy Shivaji Chowk. It is an older part of the city, so the streets are narrow and there is a lot of history around us. We handle a mix of selling items and doing repairs. It is not a very big shop, but we make use of every inch of space. You will see boxes stacked in the corners and various items waiting to be picked up by customers. We handle things like kitchen appliances and small household machines. Most of the time, someone is sitting at the front desk while another person is in the back trying to figure out why a motor isn't spinning. We don't have a corporate uniform or a fancy showroom. It’s just a local shop where we know many of the customers by their first names. People from the neighborhood drop by for a chat even when they don't need anything fixed. We have been here for years, and we have seen the area around Shivaji Chowk change quite a bit. Despite the changes, we just keep doing what we do every day. We open the shutters in the morning, put on the lights, and wait for the first customer to come in with something that needs looking at.
