Off Street Foundation

Our foundation is based in Nashik, over in Mahatma Nagar. We’re in Flat No 5 of the Kunal Park Apartments. It’s a pretty well-known spot because we’re right near Six Sigma Hospital. If you get lost, just look for the hospital and you’re basically there. The office is just a regular apartment that we’ve turned into our workspace. It’s got that lived-in feel to it. We have files everywhere and a couple of old computers that take a minute to start up in the morning. Off Street Foundation started because we saw a lot of kids and families on the streets who needed a bit of a hand with basic things. We don't have a huge budget. Most of what we do is just direct action and meeting people where they are. We spend a lot of time out of the office, but this flat is where we come to regroup and plan our next move. Nashik is a great place to work, and the people in Mahatma Nagar are generally quite supportive of what we do. The apartment is on a quiet street, which is nice when we need to focus. We have a small table where we all sit together for lunch. It’s not a fancy boardroom, but it works for us. We just try to do what we can with what we have. It’s hard work and sometimes it’s frustrating, but it’s what we chose.
