Bhanu Lights

Our shop is No. 8 in the Vaitarna Complex, right near Datta Mandir on the Nashik-Pune Highway. Being on the highway means it’s always loud with trucks and cars going past, but it’s easy for people to pull over. We deal with all kinds of lights, from the simple bulbs you need for your kitchen to the more decorative stuff for houses. The shop is pretty packed, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over when you walk in. We spend a lot of time climbing ladders to show people how a certain lamp looks when it’s switched on. It’s just a few of us here. We usually have the radio on in the background while we check the inventory or help a customer pick out wiring. Nashik Road is a busy place, and being in the Vaitarna Complex for these years has been good. We know most of the other shop owners around here. Sometimes the electricity flickers, which is funny considering what we sell, but we just laugh it off. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. We just open the shutters in the morning, dust off the glass fixtures, and wait for people to come in. It's a straightforward business and we enjoy the daily routine of it.
