Our workshop is at E14 in the MIDC area of Ambad, Nashik. If you’ve ever driven through the industrial zone here, you’ve probably passed right by us. Nashik Insulations has been operating out of this unit for a long time. It’s a large, open space with high ceilings, which is good because it can get quite hot in the afternoons. We have some heavy equipment for cutting and shaping insulation materials. It’s a bit of a messy job sometimes, with bits of material on the floor, but we sweep up at the end of the shift. The people working here are mostly locals who have a lot of experience with industrial materials. We don’t have a fancy office; the desk is right near the main door so we can see who’s coming in. There’s always the sound of machinery in the background, which we’ve all gotten used to over the years. We don’t spend our time writing mission statements or having long meetings. We just look at the orders for the day and get to work. It’s a straightforward environment. We have our regulars who come by for specific parts, and we usually have a chat about the weather or local news while we load up their vehicles. It’s just a normal day at the MIDC for us, keeping the machines running and the orders moving. We usually close up early on Saturdays to give everyone some time with their families before starting again on Monday morning.
