Naraindas Tahelram

The shop is right here in Ganesh Market, Shop Number 5, which isn't hard to find if you're coming from the Nasik Road railway station. It gets pretty crowded around here during the peak hours with all the commuters moving back and forth, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. My family has been running Naraindas Tahelram for a long time now. We usually open up early in the morning to get things ready before the first rush of customers arrives. Most of the people who stop by are locals from around Dr. Ambedkar Road or folks just passing through after getting off their train. It’s a small space, filled mostly with stock and a couple of stools for people to sit if they need a minute. Sometimes the rain makes the market a bit messy, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just the counter, some ledgers for keeping track of what goes in and out, and the goods we sell. Every day is pretty much the same routine. We talk to the neighbors, handle the deliveries when they show up, and try to keep things organized. It’s not always perfectly tidy, especially when a big shipment comes in and we have to stack boxes wherever they fit. When the weather gets hot, we have a small fan that barely does the job, but it keeps us going.
