Matoshri College Of Engineering Research Centre

You will find Matoshri College of Engineering Research Centre out on the Aurangabad Highway, near Eklahare and Odhagaon. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but it is quiet out there, which is good for studying. We have several buildings for different departments and a lot of labs that are usually filled with students trying to figure out their projects. It’s a busy place during the semester. You’ll see people carrying books or working on laptops in the hallways. We don't try to make things sound more grand than they are. It is a place for learning. The labs have the usual equipment, some of it newer and some of it having seen better days, but everything gets used. We have faculty who have been teaching for a long time and they mostly just want to make sure the students understand the basics of engineering. There is a canteen where everyone hangs out, and it’s probably the loudest part of the whole campus. We have some research going on, but a lot of it is just the daily grind of classes and exams. The campus has some trees and open space, which is a nice change from the dusty highway outside the gates. We aren't a high-pressure corporate institution. We are just a college where local kids come to get their degrees and hopefully learn enough to get a decent job afterward. It’s a practical place for students.
