Mahanakoda Foods & Herbs

Out in the MIDC area of Mehrun, things are pretty spread out. We’re at P-94, which is a decent-sized plot where we handle Mahanakoda Foods & Herbs. Because we deal with herbs, the whole place has a very specific smell—a bit like dry grass and spices. It’s much nicer than the chemical smells you get from some of the other factories nearby. The workspace is mostly open, with big tables for sorting and drying things out. We don’t have a lot of furniture; it’s mostly just equipment and storage racks. The floor is hard concrete, and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years. We’re a small team, and we mostly just keep to ourselves, focusing on the tasks at hand. There isn't any corporate hierarchy here; we all just pitch in where it's needed. Sometimes the midday sun makes the metal roof overhead creak, and it gets quite stuffy inside, so we keep the big bay doors open for a breeze. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just know our herbs and how to get them ready for use. It’s a quiet kind of life compared to the city center, but there’s always something that needs to be bagged or labeled. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the work is done properly before we lock up for the night. The trucks usually come in the morning to pick up the shipments.
