Mahalaxmi Bazar

Our shop is located near Taran Talav on Nashik Road. It’s called Mahalaxmi Bazar but it’s really just a neighborhood store in the Jagtap Mala area of Nashik. We’ve been here for a few years now at Shop No 3, serving the people who live in the nearby apartments and houses. This corner still feels like a small community even though the city is growing. We sell all sorts of things, mostly groceries and household items that you need for daily cooking. It’s a humble setup. The morning time is usually the busiest when everyone is out getting milk and vegetables. I spend most of my day behind the counter, weighing out grains or packing small bags of sugar. We don’t have a big staff, just me and a helper. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of the road work nearby, but we try to keep the counters clean. We know most of the kids around here who come in for chocolate or chips. It’s nice to see them growing up over the years. We keep a variety of pulses and rice because that’s what people ask for the most. Nothing is overly organized, but I know exactly where everything is kept. If someone needs something specific and we don’t have it, I try to get it from the main market the next day. It’s a quiet life, just managing the shop and talking to the regulars who stop by for their weekly supplies.
