Lahuji Magasvargiyavikas Foundation. We are located near Shanti Sankul in Deolali Gaon, Nashik. The office is actually inside Shanti Sankul on LAM Road. It’s a busy little area and we’ve been here for quite some time now. Nashik is a growing place, but Deolali Gaon still has that local town feeling. We focus on helping people from the backward classes because we saw that they often get overlooked. Our space isn't very big, just enough for a few desks and some chairs for visitors. It gets pretty busy in the mornings when people are on their way to work. We try to keep the door open so anyone can just wander in if they have a question. There’s usually someone here who can speak the local language and help out. We aren't a big organization with lots of branches. We just have this one spot where we try to do our bit. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but we just keep talking. It’s a very simple setup. We don't have any fancy posters or a big marketing strategy. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here for years and people know we aren't going anywhere. It is just our way of giving back to the place where we grew up and live. We try to make everyone feel at home when they walk through the door, no matter where they are from. It is home.
