Kasamade Farmers Development Foundation

Our foundation is based out in Nashik, specifically at Soygaon Phata near Tehere in Malegaon. We are right on the National Highway No 3, at Gat No 339/3. If you’re driving that way, you can’t miss the turn. Kasamade Farmers Development Foundation started because farming is what we know. Most of us grew up on these lands, watching the seasons change and dealing with the usual struggles of being a farmer. We aren't some big corporation from the city. We are local people who understand what it’s like when the rain doesn't come on time or when the market prices drop suddenly. Our office is a practical space where farmers can come and just talk. We share what we know about seeds or water, but mostly we just listen to each other. It’s a lot of hard work, and the sun can be brutal out here in Nashik. We don't have air conditioning or fancy desks. We have chairs and a lot of patience. Life on the highway moves fast, but here at the foundation, we try to take things one step at a time. It’s about making sure the families in Tehere and nearby areas have someone to turn to. We’re just trying to make the farming life a little more stable for everyone around us, day by day.
