About K. K. Wagh College Of Fine Arts – Art & Craft in Nashik
If you head over to Hirabai Haridas Vidyanagari in the Amrutdham part of Panchavati, you’ll find K. K. Wagh College Of Fine Arts. Nashik is a beautiful city, and our spot in Maharashtra is quite lively. Being a fine arts college, things are a little different here than at a regular school. There are always canvases leaning against the walls and the smell of turpentine or wet clay in the air. It’s not the neatest place in the world, but art is usually a bit messy anyway. The 422003 area is where we spend our days. We have studios where the light comes in just right in the mornings. It’s a bit of an older building, but it has character. You’ll see students sitting on the floor or outside under a tree, sketching whatever they see. We don’t have a corporate handbook or a list of fancy values. It’s just about making things and learning how to see the world a bit better. The staff here are artists themselves, so they aren't much for wearing suits or following strict office rules. We have exhibitions sometimes, but most of the time it’s just us working away in the studios. It’s a practical place for people who like to use their hands. We don't have a lot of money for big decorations, so we just use the art the students make to brighten up the hallways and the walls.
