Our office is in Shasth Pimpalgaon, which is in the Ambad area. It is a quiet place for the most part, and everyone around here knows each other. We started this Nidhi company because people in the village needed a way to manage their money without traveling too far to the big cities. We deal with small savings and loans for the local people. The office isn’t much, just a room with some desks and chairs where we sit and talk to the farmers and local workers who stop by. We have a lot of ledgers to fill out and keep track of. Sometimes the power goes out, so we just wait or use a torch to finish the writing for the day. It’s a slow pace of life here. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who grew up in this district. People trust us because they see us every day at the market or the temple. We don't use big words or fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done by hand and checked twice. It gets dusty in the summer, and the roads can be a bit rough during the rains, but we stay open. We usually open early so the morning crowd can finish their business before heading to the fields or their shops. It’s just how we do things here in Shasth Pimpalgaon, helping out with whatever financial needs come up for the folks.
