A1 Event & Decorators

A1 Event & Decorators is based right on Jail Road. It is a busy place to be, especially when the wedding season starts and everyone wants their decorations done at the same time. Our store is basically a big warehouse full of colorful fabrics, long bamboo poles, and boxes of fairy lights that always seem to get tangled up. We spend a lot of our mornings loading up the back of the small trucks with stacks of chairs and rolls of red carpet. Jail Road can be a bit of a nightmare for parking, so we have to be quick when we are moving stuff in and out. Most of our work happens outside at the venues, where we are climbing ladders and pinning up curtains under the hot sun. It is tiring work and we usually end up with dusty clothes and sore backs by the end of the night. We do not have a fancy office for meetings; people usually just stop by the shop and point at the things they want for their party. There is always someone checking the light bulbs or sewing a tear in a backdrop. It is a bit chaotic, with people coming and going and the phone ringing about last-minute changes to a stage setup, but we just take it one event at a time.
