We are located right behind the Mahamarg Bus Stand in the Old Mumbai Naka area. It’s a very recognizable part of town because of the bus traffic. Our building serves a few purposes since we are an ENT hospital but also a DNB institute. This means you’ll often see students and researchers walking around with books and notes. The focus here is on ears, noses, and throats. We have rooms for hearing tests that are supposed to be soundproof. You’ll see people waiting with cotton in their ears or talking about their sinus problems. The Old Mumbai Naka area is always loud, so it’s funny that we deal with hearing here. The interior is a bit older, with long hallways and many small offices. We have the research part where people are looking at data and the hospital part where patients are actually being treated. It’s a busy mix. The staff handles everything from simple ear cleanings to more complicated throat things. There’s always someone at the front desk dealing with registrations or bus drivers asking for directions. We’ve been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. The smell of disinfectant is everywhere, and the furniture is the sturdy kind that lasts. It’s a functional place that gets a lot of use from both the locals and the students who study here.
