We run our trading business on Sonai Road, right across from the petrol pump. It’s a good spot because everyone knows where the pump is. We handle a variety of goods depending on what’s in demand. The shop is basically a large warehouse space where we stack crates and bags. It’s not very fancy, just some shelves and a desk near the front door. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and making sure the stock arrives on time. Since we are on a main road, there is a lot of dust and noise from the passing trucks. We keep the doors open mostly so it stays cool inside. People stop by to pick up bulk orders or just to see what we have in that week. It’s a family-run kind of place, so you’ll often see one of us sitting out front when things are slow. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just rely on people knowing we are here. The floor is concrete and a bit cracked in places, but it holds the weight of the inventory just fine. Sometimes we have to move everything around to find one specific item at the back. It’s a lot of physical work, loading and unloading from the delivery vans. We’ve been on Sonai Road for many years and have seen many neighbors come and go, but we stay right here across from the station. We just keep moving things in and out every day, helping whoever comes through the door.
