Our place is in Budhalwadi, near Manmad in the Nasik district. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city, located in the Nanadgaon taluka. We are a local construction outfit through and through. Life out here in rural Maharashtra is different from the big cities, and so is the way we build. We use what is available and we build for the local climate. Our office is just a small building where we meet to talk about the day's tasks. There is usually a lot of dust because of the dry land around Manmad. We don't have a website or a sales team. If someone needs a wall built or a house extended, they usually come by the yard or find us through a friend. We’ve worked on everything from small sheds to larger residential projects around the village. The guys on our crew are mostly neighbors. We work hard, especially during the harvest season when many people are also busy in the fields. We don’t use fancy words to describe what we do. We just take some cement, bricks, and steel and turn them into something useful. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, or supplies from Nasik take a day longer to arrive, but we always manage to finish what we started. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy. We don't have much to show in terms of a fancy office, but our work is all around the area. If you're out near Budhalwadi, you'll see us.
