The T- Shirt Factory

The T- Shirt Factory is on the 2nd floor of 1 Sanjeevini Sankool. It’s right behind Rani Laxmi Bhawan in that Gole000000 Colony Rani Laxmi Bhawan area. If you know where that is, you can’t really miss us. We’re up the stairs, and you can usually hear the sound of the machines before you see the door. There are stacks of cotton shirts everywhere, some blank and some with designs already on them. The floor is often covered in little bits of thread and scraps of fabric. We’ve been doing this for a bit, mostly for local groups or small events. It gets pretty warm in the summer with the heat presses running all day. We try to keep the windows open, but the colony can get a bit dusty. Our team is small, just a few people who know how to handle the screens and the ink. We don't have a big fancy showroom, just a few samples hanging on the wall so people can see the colors. Most of our work comes from people walking in and asking if we can put a logo on a dozen shirts for their cricket team or a family function. It’s a messy business, and we always have ink stains on our hands by the end of the day. We don't mind it, though. It’s honest work, and seeing a finished shirt look right is a good feeling. We just keep at it, one batch at a time, until the job is done for the day and we can go home.
