Shree Ganesh Unique Gift Shop

You can find Shree Ganesh Unique Gift Shop over at Shop No. 8 in the Chitralekha Society on Date Nagar. We are right opposite the Atharva Mangal Karyalay on Gangapur Road. This is a great spot because when there’s a wedding or a big party at the Karyalay, we get a lot of people rushing in at the last minute because they forgot to buy a gift. It makes for some very busy Saturdays. The shop is packed with all sorts of things, from small toys to bigger decorative items. Sometimes it feels like we have too much stuff and not enough shelf space. We spend a lot of time wrapping things in shiny paper and trying to find where the tape went. The floor is usually covered in bits of ribbon and paper scraps by the end of the day. We’ve been here in Chitralekha Society for some time, and the neighbors are all used to us by now. It’s a simple gift shop. We don’t have any fancy computer systems for tracking everything; we mostly just remember where we put things. The sun hits the front window pretty hard in the afternoon, so we have to be careful about what we put on display so it doesn't fade. It’s a happy kind of place to work, seeing people pick out things for their friends and family. We just try to keep the shelves filled with interesting things.
