Gangajal Nursery

We spend most of our time out in the dirt here at Savarkar Nagar. Our nursery is tucked away off New Shrirang Nagar on Gangapur Road. It is a green spot in the middle of all the new buildings going up around us. Every morning starts before the sun is fully up because that is when the plants need the most attention. We spend our hours watering, weeding, and moving pots around. It is physical work and our clothes are usually stained with mud by the end of the day. We grow all sorts of things, from small flowering plants to bigger trees. People from the neighborhood often stop by just to walk around and look at the green. We don't have a big sales team. Usually, it is just one of us wiping our hands on a rag and coming over to help you pick out a shrub. We know which plants like the shade and which ones can handle the harsh afternoon sun. It is a slow kind of life, watching things grow day by day. Sometimes the bugs get to a batch of seedlings and we have to start over. That is just nature. We don't use any fancy technology here, just hoses and trowels and a bit of patience. We like being near Gangapur Road because it is easy for people to find us, but once you step inside the gates, it feels a lot quieter.
