Our factory is located at 44/17/1 in the MIDC area of Satpur. It’s a large industrial patch where many different companies are lined up one after another. Electro Crimp Contacts (I) Pvt.Ltd. has a fairly standard industrial shed here. The floor is mostly taken up by machines that crimp and process electrical parts. It is a repetitive kind of work, but it requires a lot of attention to detail so things don't go wrong. The sound of the machines is a constant background noise from morning till evening. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for a long time. They know the rhythm of the place. The office part is just a few desks near the front entrance where we handle the paperwork and the bills. It’s not a place for visitors to come and see anything fancy. We are mostly focused on production and getting the crates packed for shipping. Satpur is quite far from the main city hub, so it’s a long commute for some of us. We have a small break area where we sit and eat our tiffins during the lunch hour. There’s nothing particularly special about the building, but it’s where we spend our days making sure the parts are made correctly. We just keep our heads down and follow the production schedule as best as we can.
