Chintamani Clinic

We started Chintamani Clinic in Radha Vithhal Society some time back because the area needed a place where people could just walk in when they aren't feeling right. It is a quiet spot here in Nashik, usually. Most days begin with sweeping the front and making sure the chairs are lined up for whoever shows up first. We see a lot of the same faces from around the society. It’s not a big fancy hospital, just a couple of rooms where we do our work. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the waiting area, especially when the weather changes and everyone catches a cold at once. When the monsoon hits Nashik, the society grounds get a bit muddy, but we still see people coming in with their umbrellas dripping by the door. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk. People come in talking about their kids or the traffic on the main road before they even mention why they are visiting. We listen to all of it. The 422001 pin code area has grown a lot lately, so there is always someone new moving in who needs to know where the local doctor is. We don't have those big neon signs. Just a simple board outside so people know they found the right place. Most of the afternoon is spent checking temperatures and writing out notes. When the sun goes down, we finish up the last few visits and lock the doors. It is just a regular job for us, helping out the neighbors.
