Our office is located at House Number 494 on Mithai Street, right in the heart of Devlali Camp. If you know Nashik, you know Devlali has that old-school military feel to it. Mithai Street is always a bit busy with people coming and going. The building we’re in is an older one, with thick walls and high ceilings that keep it somewhat cool even when it’s hot outside. We handle some of the Ceat business from here, mostly focusing on the local distribution and keeping the books straight. It’s a small operation, just a couple of us in a room filled with the smell of old paper and occasionally the sweets from the shops nearby. We don’t have any fancy computers or high-tech security. Just some sturdy wooden desks and a lot of registers. People in the camp know us by name, and we often stop to talk to folks passing by the door. It’s a slower pace of life here compared to Mumbai or Pune. We start our day with a cup of tea and a look at the previous day’s numbers. The floor is made of old stone and it’s seen a lot of foot traffic over the years. We don't try to make the place look like a modern corporate office because it isn’t one. It’s a functional space in a historic part of town. We just do our work, help out where we can, and go home when the sun starts to set over the hills.
