Working at Electron Gyration Research And Development India Pvt. Ltd. usually means heading up to the fifth floor of the Nishi Gandha Apartment. We are located at Plot No. 44 in Bhabanagar, which is a fairly busy part of the neighborhood. Our office is actually spread across Flat No. 9 and 10. It’s an interesting setup because it feels more like a home than a corporate building. We have desks set up where dining tables might usually go, and the kitchen area is mostly for making endless cups of coffee while we look over our notes. Being on the fifth floor gives us a bit of a view of the surrounding trees and other rooftops in Bhabanagar. It’s usually pretty quiet up here, which helps when we need to concentrate on the research side of things. We don't have a big sign outside or a lobby with a security guard. You just come into the apartment building and take the lift up. Sometimes the lift is out of order, and that’s a lot of stairs to climb, but we don’t mind too much. It’s just the way the building is. Most of us have been working in these flats for a long time, so we know all the neighbors and the local shopkeepers downstairs. It’s a very grounded way to do research and development without all the extra fluff you see in big cities. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
