The place is right in Ganeshwadi in the Panchvati area, part of the Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya. It’s an old institution, and you can really feel the history when you walk through the halls. We aren't really about the modern glass-and-steel look here; it’s more about stone walls and heavy wooden doors. The air in Panchvati always feels a bit different, maybe because of the temples and the river being so close. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the various herbs and traditional preparations that have been used for ages. It’s a lot of slow work, like drying things out or grinding them by hand in large mortars. There are always students walking around in their white coats, talking about their classes or the patients they’ve seen. Our day usually starts early before the heat gets too bad. We have a small staff who looks after the stores and the processing area. It’s a quiet sort of life, mostly, though it gets busy when new supplies of raw materials come in from the forest areas. We don’t really go for fancy labels or big advertisements. We just keep doing what we’ve been doing for years, following the old ways because that’s what we know best. It’s a bit dusty and the paperwork piles up on the desks, but it’s a good place to be for this kind of work.
