Aws Balika Sangopan Foundation

We started Aws Balika Sangopan Foundation right here in Pimpalgaon Mor. The office is at Madke House 139, which is just near the Hanuman Temple. Most folks in Igatpuri know the spot. We mostly focus on helping young girls around the Ghoti area. It’s a quiet place and we try to keep things running smoothly despite the challenges of being in a rural spot. We’ve been here for a while now. Some of us grew up nearby. We deal with daily things like getting supplies or making sure the kids have what they need. Sometimes the roof leaks a bit when it rains hard in Nashik, but we manage. There are a few of us who handle the paperwork and the actual work with the girls. It isn't a fancy setup. We just have a few rooms and some desks. If you walk past the temple, you’ll see our door. People stop by to chat or ask how they can help out. It gets busy in the mornings. We don’t have a big team, just local people who care about what happens in our neighborhood. We spend a lot of time talking to parents and figuring out how to make things better for the children. The weather here in Igatpuri gets quite misty in the monsoon season. We often have to walk to the post office in Ghoti to get mail. Our building is simple, nothing fancy, just a part of the Madke household. We’ve known the family for years. We just keep going, day by day.
