Ahilyadevi Urban Nidhi Limited is our small office over here at RH.3 in Vitthal Nagar Kamatwada. We have been working from this spot for a bit now, just handling the basic stuff that comes with being a Nidhi company. It is mostly about helping people in the neighborhood keep their money safe or get a small loan when things get tight. We aren't a big fancy bank with glass walls and suited security guards. It is just us in a regular room with some desks and registers. Most days are quiet, except when everyone comes in at once to deposit their savings. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. Being in Kamatwada, we feel like part of the furniture. The office is easy to find if you are familiar with Vitthal Nagar. We don't do much marketing because we think doing the work right is enough. People talk, and that is how we get new members. We focus on the practical side of things, making sure the books are right and everyone gets their dues on time. It is a lot of counting and checking papers, which can be tiring, but it’s what we do. Sometimes the tea runs out or the fan makes a bit of noise, but we keep going. Working here at RH.3 is just our daily routine. We are just a group of locals trying to keep a helpful business running for the community without any big fuss or complicated systems.
