Afl Pvy. Ltd.(Express Division) operates out of 4/2 Chandrodaya Housing Soaciety in Chembur West. It’s a bit of a different setup being in a housing society. Still, it makes the office feel more like a part of the local Mumbai life. We handle express deliveries here. There is always a bit of a rush going on. Chembur is a busy place, and we are constantly dealing with packages coming in and out at all hours. The office isn't very big. We have to be careful with how we stack the boxes so they don't block the doorway. Usually, you’ll find us sorting through delivery slips. Other times we are talking to the courier guys who are about to head out on their bikes. It is a very practical, hands-on kind of environment. We don’t have fancy mission statements. No corporate rules that sound like they came from a book are used here. We just focus on getting the parcels to the right address quickly. Sometimes the Mumbai traffic makes things difficult. Luckily, our drivers know the shortcuts through the side streets. It gets quite loud in the office when the phones are ringing and people are shouting out delivery numbers. That’s just a normal day for us. We drink a lot of chai to keep going during the long shifts. It is just honest, fast-paced work in the heart of Chembur where people expect their things on time.
