Bharat Hospital And Maternity Home is situated right in Gandhi Nagar, very close to the Kali Mata Mandir. Being near the temple means we always hear the bells and see the crowds on festival days. It’s a lively part of Gandhi Nagar to be in. Since we are a maternity home as well, we see a lot of families coming through. There’s a lot of waiting around for new babies to arrive, which makes the atmosphere different from a regular clinic. We have some rooms for the mothers and a small area for the families to sit. It’s a basic setup, nothing over the top. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, but for now, they do the job. We spend a lot of our time checking monitors and talking to nervous fathers. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we just take it one day at a time. The staff here has seen a lot of kids born over the years. We recognize many of the families when they walk past the temple. It’s a tight-knit community in this part of Gandhi Nagar. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. Word just gets around that we are here near the mandir. We keep the place running, handle the emergencies when they pop up, and try to make sure everyone is okay before they head home. It’s just how things go here. It is busy but we are used to the pace of this neighborhood.
