Siva Brick

Siva Brick is located at 807, Downuru in Visakhapatnam. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but we like being out here. The air feels a little different than the center of the city. We have a lot of space for the bricks to sit while they wait for the trucks. Managing a brick yard isn't exactly what you’d call easy. You’re always at the mercy of the soil and the water. If the mix isn't right, you know it pretty fast. I spend a lot of my time walking between the stacks, checking to see how things are drying. My shoes are always ruined from the mud. Visakhapatnam has its fair share of humidity, which can make the work feel twice as hard. We don’t have a big team, just a few local guys who know how to handle the weight. We don’t use any of those big marketing agencies to talk for us. We just talk to the people who pull up in their tractors. Some days are slow and we just sit around the small shed drinking tea, waiting for the next customer. Other days, it’s a mad rush to get everything loaded before the sun goes down. It’s a plain business for plain people. We’ve been at this 807 address for a long time and don't plan on moving anywhere else soon. It is what it is, and we just keep the work going.
