MOON NIDHI LIMITED

Moon Nidhi Limited is located over in Mahadev Ward, right here in Kareli. We’re set up at Jitendra Kourav’s place, he’s the son of Bhuwan Lal Kourav. Most people in the ward know the family. We started this because folks needed a place to put their savings where they felt comfortable. It’s not like those big banks in the city. We sit down with you and go through the books. The address is 487221 if you’re sending anything by post. It’s a quiet area mostly, but we get people coming in throughout the day. We don’t have fancy furniture or big signs. Just a desk, some chairs, and our ledgers. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a fan going. We handle the local savings and help members out when they need a bit of a loan for a wedding or fixing up a house. Jitendra is usually around to answer questions. We try to keep the paperwork simple so nobody gets confused. It’s just us working together in the community. Sometimes the kids from the neighborhood play outside while we’re working inside. It feels more like a home than an office most of the time. We’ve been here for a bit now and plan to stay. Just a local spot for local people to manage their bits of money. It’s worked out well for us so far.
