Gadarwara Organic Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are located in Gadarwara, right on the Bypass Road. Our office is actually at the house of Shailesh Singh in the Kaurav Vivekanandward area. It is a convenient spot because the trucks can pull up right on the bypass when they need to load or unload things. The house has a big front area where we often gather to talk about the organic farming work. It is not a formal office at all, just a place where we keep our files and meet with the farmers from the surrounding area. Since it is a producer company, we have a lot of different people coming through at all hours. There is usually a pot of tea on the stove and someone sitting on the porch talking about the weather or the price of grain. We have some scales and some sacks of grain sitting around most of the time. The road can be noisy with all the traffic going past Gadarwara, but we do not mind it much. Shailesh’s place is easy to find and most people around here know us by name. We do not use any big marketing slogans or anything like that. We just do the work of collecting the organic produce and getting it ready for sale. It is a practical, community-based setup and we like that it feels more like a family than a business. We just take things as they come and try to do right by the farmers who work with us every year.
