Blue Moon Bakery

You’ll find us at House Number 8-110, right on the Main Road. Since we are on the main strip, there’s always a lot of dust and noise from the cars and bikes passing by. We start baking early, so by eight in the morning, the whole place smells like yeast and toasted sugar. We have a couple of glass display cases that we fill up with buns, biscuits, and those little cream cakes. The oven in the back is quite old and throws off a lot of heat, which is nice in the winter but pretty tough during the summer months. We spend a lot of time wiping the glass because fingerprints show up so easily. There’s a small area where people can stand and have a quick snack or a cup of tea. We don't have much in the way of chairs because it’s a small shop. The floor is a bit uneven in places, but we’ve got used to it. We keep our flour and sugar sacks in a small room behind the counter. Most of our customers are people heading to work or kids stopping by after school for a treat. We don't do anything too fancy, just the basic stuff that people like to eat every day. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to finish the decorating by candlelight, which is a bit of a challenge. We just try to keep everything fresh.
