M/S Lal Chand Bhagwat Parsad

Our business, M/S Lal Chand Bhagwat Parsad, is right here in Village Kath Mandi. We are part of the Narnaul Taluka in the Mahindergarh district. It’s a traditional kind of place. We’ve been here in the mandi for a long time. Life moves a bit slower out here compared to the big cities. We deal with the local farmers and people from the surrounding villages. Our shop is filled with various goods, and the smell of the market is always in the air. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes by. There’s a lot of sitting and talking over tea before any business actually happens. That’s just the way it is in Kath Mandi. We know most of our customers by name. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a few hours, so we just sit outside in the shade. It’s a simple way of living. We keep our ledgers by hand mostly. The building is old, but it’s sturdy and keeps the sun off. We aren't looking to expand or do anything big. We just want to keep the shop running like it always has. It’s a family thing, passed down, and we’re just the ones looking after it now. There is always a bit of dust from the road, but we sweep it out every evening before we head home. It is just honest daily work.
