Harsh Spices & Foods Private Limited is based out of Soram, specifically in the Singh Patti area. It’s a bit of a rural setting, which makes sense because we deal with spices and food products. The whole place smells like turmeric, cumin, and dried chilies most of the time. It’s a strong smell, but we don’t even notice it anymore. Our building is a simple structure where we bring in the raw spices, get them processed, and then pack them up for export. We have a small crew from the local village who helps with the sorting and the cleaning. It’s very hands-on work. We don't have a corporate office with glass walls; it’s more about the warehouse and the loading dock. We spend a lot of time checking the weather because humidity can ruin a whole batch of spices if we aren't careful. The roads around Singh Patti aren't the best, especially during the monsoon, so getting the trucks in and out can be a real challenge sometimes. We just focus on the basics of food handling and making sure nothing gets spoiled before it reaches the customer. It’s a quiet life compared to the city, but it gets very busy during the harvest season. We just work through the piles of sacks and make sure everything is ready for the shipping containers. It's practical work that keeps us connected to the land.
