Seetha Bajra Cultivation

Seetha Bajra Cultivation is situated in Botimidithanda, which is over in the Jangam area of Narayanapur Mandal. We spend our days out in the fields growing bajra. It is a crop that needs the right kind of soil and just enough water, and we have been working this land for many years. Most of the people around here in the thanda know us and what we do. It is not an easy job because you are always at the mercy of the wind and the sun. We do most of the planting and harvesting by hand with a little help from the neighbors during the busy months. My family has always lived in this part of Narayanapur, so we know the ground pretty well. When the bajra is growing, the fields look very nice, and we have to watch out for birds or pests that might ruin the hard work. We keep our tools in a small shed near the edge of the property. There are no big offices here, just the land and the sky. We take the grains to the market once they are dried and ready. It is a quiet existence, and we don't have many visitors from outside the village. We just focus on getting a good yield each year so we can keep things running. It is practical work that keeps our hands dirty and our days full from sunrise to sunset.
