About Kotappa Pulses Cultivation – Agriculture & Farming in Narayanapur
We have been out here at house number 6-48 in Narayanapur for a long time now. Most of our days are spent out in the fields dealing with the pulse crops. It is not some big industrial thing, just us working the dirt and seeing what comes up each season. Some years the rain is good and other times we are just dragging hoses around trying to keep things green. We grow different kinds of pulses depending on what the ground is ready for. It is tiring work and your back definitely feels it by the end of the week. There is always a fence to fix or a tractor that won’t start when you need it to. We don’t spend much time sitting in an office because there is too much to do outside. The village is quiet and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and get the harvest in when it’s time. You can usually find us near the storage sheds checking the bags. It is just a regular life of farming pulses here. We don't use any fancy tech, just the tools we have and our own hands. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat while we are sorting things out. That is pretty much our whole story. Just people in Narayanapur growing food with whatever the weather gives us.
