Shakambatri Traders

Shakambatri Traders is a small shop, number 39, over in Krishna Nagar. We are located in the Naraini area, right near Ram Leela Road. It’s a local neighborhood, so we see a lot of the same faces every week. The shop itself is pretty compact. We’ve packed a lot of things into a small space, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over when you walk in. It’s been our home for a long time. We aren't trying to be the biggest trader in town, just a reliable one. Usually, it’s just one or two of us behind the counter. We don't have a big staff or anyone in a suit. Most days are spent checking inventory and talking to suppliers. The street outside can get quite busy during festival times, especially with the Ram Leela grounds being so close. We just keep the door open and wait for customers. We don’t do much advertising because word of mouth seems to work okay for us. People know where we are and what we do. It’s an honest way to make a living. We try to keep things simple and fair. Sometimes the delivery truck is late or the weather is bad, but we show up every morning anyway. If you need something, just stop by and ask. We are usually around even if we look busy with the boxes. There is always something to do, so we stay pretty active.
