Maruthi Agri Clinic

We set up Maruthi Agri Clinic here in Coimbatore a while back. It's mostly about helping folks with their crops and gardens. People come in with all sorts of questions about why their leaves are turning yellow or what's wrong with the soil this season. We spend a lot of time looking at bug problems and trying to figure out which seeds will actually grow well in this heat. It gets pretty busy in the mornings when the sun isn't too high yet. Sometimes the shop feels a bit small when three or four people are all asking about fertilizers at the same time. We keep a lot of stuff in the back, bags of things for the fields mostly. It’s not a fancy place, just some shelves and a counter where we talk shop. Most days, it's just about getting the right tools or medicine into the hands of people who need it. Coimbatore has changed a lot, but farmers still have the same old troubles with pests and rain. We try to keep up with what's going on in the local farms. It’s a lot of manual work, moving sacks around and checking stock. We don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us who know a bit about plants and trying to make things grow. Sometimes it's dusty, and the phone rings a lot, but that's just how the day goes here. We usually have some tea in the afternoon while we wait for the evening rush to start up.
