Sundaram Brass Products

You’ll find our workshop at Plot No. 51/B in the Patel Industrial Estate. We are on Road Number 2, right off Radar Road near Gokul Jakat Naka. It’s a heavy industrial area, so there’s a lot of activity and noise all around us from the neighboring units. We work with brass all day long. The air usually smells a bit like hot metal and polishing compound. It’s a tough environment to work in, but we’re used to it after all these years. The floor is always covered in small brass shavings that we have to clear out every few hours so we don't slip. We have several old lathes and milling machines that have been with us for a long time. Sundaram Brass Products is a place where we actually make things with our hands. It gets very hot in the summer, especially near the back of the shop where the furnaces are running. We don't have a fancy front office; just a small wooden desk where we take orders and talk to customers who drop by. Most people who come here are looking for specific brass fittings or custom parts for their own machines. We don’t spend money on shiny brochures or fancy websites. We just focus on the metalwork. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves with whatever tools are handy. It’s hard work, and your back usually hurts by the end of the long shift. But we’ve been here for years.
