Our place is out on Plot No. 21, along Somnath Road in Village Dabhel. Rolliflex Cables Pvt. Ltd. is basically a factory where we make various kinds of cables and wires. It is definitely not a quiet office environment. There is always the sound of machines running in the background and the smell of plastic. We started this because there was a need for reliable wiring in the local industries around here. We have grown a bit over the years, but it still feels like a small operation at heart. The heat in the summer gets pretty bad in the warehouse, but the crew keeps things moving. We spend a lot of time checking the machines and making sure the insulation on the wires is thick enough. It is technical work but we try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. We are not wearing suits here. Most of us are in work boots and old shirts that we do not mind getting dirty. We deal with a lot of bulk orders for construction projects and other factories in the area. Shipping from Dabhel is okay, though the roads get a bit rough after the rains. We have a small office at the front where we handle the billing and talk to suppliers. It is a lot of grit and grease, but that is how cables get made. We just focus on getting the orders out on time so projects do not get stuck. It is honest work.
