If you head over to Nanganallur, you can find us at No. 4 on 49th Street. We’ve been making and selling furniture from this spot for a good while. It’s a neighborhood where people know each other, so we get a lot of locals walking in just to see what we’re working on. There is usually the smell of wood and some sawdust on the floor, which is just how a furniture place should be. We don't have a big, shiny showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop where things actually get built. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and putting things together. Sometimes the street is quiet, and other times it’s packed with cars, especially being in Nanganallur. We just focus on the chairs, tables, or whatever else someone has asked for. It’s not about being the biggest store around. We just want to make stuff that people can actually use in their homes. We don’t really use a lot of fancy sales talk. If a piece of wood has a knot in it, we show it to you. It’s all very straightforward. The 49th Street location is easy to find once you’re in the area. We’re usually here from morning until late evening, just getting through the orders we have. It’s a lot of manual work, but it feels good to see a finished table at the end.
