We've been at Pl.No. 433/C3/28 for a while now. The yard is where everything happens and it is dusty mostly. We spend the mornings checking the barrels and making sure the labels haven't peeled off in the heat. Petrochemicals isn't a fancy job. It's mostly just logistics and making sure the drums get moved without any spills. The office is small and the fan makes a clicking sound that we’ve just gotten used to over the years. Some days the delivery trucks are late because of the roads, so we just sit there and drink tea until the dust settles. It’s a lot of manual work, rolling things around and checking the stock lists against what’s actually on the floor. People from around here know where we are because of the big gate. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Just the work that needs doing every day. The neighbors at the other plots are mostly doing the same thing, so we help each other out if a crane is needed or something like that. It’s quiet in the afternoons when the sun is high and the air is still. We keep the inventory on some old shelves that probably need replacing soon, but they hold up for now. Noone Palle is a good spot for us because it’s out of the way but still reachable for the heavy trucks coming in from the main highway.
